Remember the Deron 5L Newsletter?

Greetings,

Hi. Remember me? Terrance.

I recently read through an old newsletter from
2005, and realized how much time has passed
since those old days of the "Deron 5L
Newsletter".

One thing I noticed was just how much effort,
and thought I would put into a newsletter,
which is much different than a 10 second
Faceook update.

To those of you who read my newsletters back
then, and/or saw me play live, I appreciate
you. Since those days, for some reason I took
my focus off of writing newsletters, and even
off playing live for quite some time. I mean,
I still played out since then (and still do
today), but only about twice per month.

I have done a tremendous amount of traveling
since 2005. I mean TREMENDOUS.. like about
40 trips, for about 3 to 5 weeks at a time.
My wife and I have spent much of that time
in South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee,
Georgia, Florida, Pennsylvania, Northern
Michigan, and Indiana. However, we have
also taken a trip to Arizona, Nevada,
and Loisiana.. and many places in between.

This has become part of our lifestyle, with
running a music business, playing shows, and
have even spent a ton of time video blogging
over 2000 videos. In fact, our car has over
255,000 miles on it.

One of my favorite places to see was the
Florida Keys last September. The ocean was
really relaxing to swim in, and the water
was warmer than a heated pool. I prefer a
salty ocean over a clorine filled pool any
day!

Let's see.. since 2006 I have been married
as many of you know. My wife and I
celebrated our 7th anniversary last
November. My wife looks the same age as
she did back then. I definitely look older,
no more long hair.. much less hair too.

As for music, you may know my full album
came out back in 2007. It didn't turn out
exactly how I had hoped in terms of
quality, but my perfectionism actually
hurt things a bit (I think). You can get a

I recorded an electronic music track with
a great producer a few years ago (Elton

We are currently working on a new track,
which is a club dance track. This should
be intresting once completed!

These days I am quite busy running my
music business caled "3000 Records", and
have actually worked with over 3000
musicians and bands since I started out in
1996. I never would have imagined things
would have grown in a way that I could
connect with so many other musicians and
bands worldwide.

Writing this newsletter is helping me
realize that I have been in work mode
for quite some time. However, after
breaking my foot about 6 weeks ago I
have been kind of stuck in a rut. I've
been forced to really utilize my time
well since having a broken foot is
not only physically restrictive and
painful, it's also mentally and
emotionally draining. I never thought
having a broken bone effected more
than someones physical well being. I
am thankful to God for helping me
through this time not only
physically, but also mentally,
emotionally, and spiritually. My New
Year's resolution has also been to be
thankful.

One of my main focuses has been on
health. This includes eating healthy,
sleeping enough, and taking time out
for things. I suppose writing this
newsletter is taking some time out!
